Bethel Engages Community Through Neighborhood Egg Hunt

For many years Bethel hosted an Easter Egg hunt at their campus, but three years ago some families that live in the Lochwood area just south of Bethel had the idea to partner with that community to take the Egg Hunt on the road. In March of 2016, Bethel sponsored a community Easter Egg Hunt at Lochwood Park. Bethel contributed more than 3,000 candy-filled eggs, cookies, drinks and popcorn, provided bounce houses, whiffle ball home run derby, tattoos, pictures with the Easter bunny, story time, and volunteers to provide a fun family day at the park for our neighbors. Blessed with beautiful weather, we surpassed even last year’s turnout. Flyers for VBS were passed out, and opportunities simply to serve our community in the name of Jesus abounded.
