It’s been a refreshing summer! You may ask, how can it be a refreshing summer when we regularly experience 100 degree heat? The answer: it is good when refreshment comes from the Word of God. This past July was an interesting time for T2C2 leadership. This summer was quite a busy summer for the leaders of T2C2. The "6th LCMS National Hispanic Convention" took place in Houston. Over 15 current staff and leaders in training from our partner churches were in attendance. They were active in a variety of roles: leading and participating in workshops, information panels and fellowship. Pastors Beto Álzate and Juan Zamora as well as Vicar Nelson Ortega had the opportunity to share what T2C2 does as a ministerial network in an all-convention panel. Pastor Juan was also re-elected as vice president of the 7th National Hispanic Convention! We had the opportunity to learn from the challenges and blessings of other ministries across the nation. T2C2 also sponsored a booth and provided t-shirts for the volunteers of this great event as pastors and leaders from across the USA gathered at this convention to grow, encourage each other, worship together and learn from the experience of our church at the national level. We thank God for the doors that keep opening so that the ministry of God continues to spread in our communities and more leaders are raised up to serve the Lord and his people.

Also, in June, T2C2 was able to participate in the convention of the Texas District in Irving, at which T2C2 again hosted a booth and provided many volunteers for the event. Pastor Eloy Gonzalez was elected 2nd Vice President of the district and Pastors Chris Holder and Juan Zamora led one of the morning devotions. Additionally, the “Hope Choir” of Our Redeemer, led by Karla Valverde and Ruth Durand, helped bring music to all gathered together. We are proud of how they represented our ministry!  Thank you to all who helped make the events of this summer a success.
